Satyawati College, 2 Delhi Girls Battalion, feels proud of its NCC cadets who exhibit an extraordinary sense of sincerity, self-sacrifice, dedication, focus, perseverance and hard work. The National Cadet Corps came into existence on 15th of July, 1948. The fact that NCC cadets formed the second line of defense in both the 1965 and the 1971 Indo-Pak war speaks volumes about the momentousness of the NCC. Through the seventy-two year period of the existence of NCC, the idea has been to generate leaders and spokespersons who can talk and motivate people in times of crises and make significant contribution in nation building. The National Cadet Corps inculcates in the youth the spirit of patriotism, respect for diversities of religion, language and culture. At the university level, NCC promotes cultural activities like debating, poetry recitation, oratory, acting, singing, instrumental music, besides tests of physical prowess like trekking, mountaineering, scuba-diving, shooting and much more. Cadets get a wonderful opportunity to plunge into the wonder world of the aforementioned activities, while NCC offers an opportunity to join the defense services. There is a lot more to offer: discipline, stature, poise and wholesome personality.
Hoping that I shall live up to the value system upheld by this venerable National organization, the National Cadet Corps, I wish our cadets good luck and vow to stand in their support as and when the need arises. I further take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our Principal mam, Dr Nirmal Jindal, for her support and co-operation.
